How can a doula support me?
Prenatal Visits
Our first visit will be to get to know one another and answer any questions you may have. Subsequent visits typically cover discussing birth preferences and options for pain management, practicing comfort measures, connecting you to local resources, and providing you with evidence-based information to help guide your decisions.
Birth
I will be on call for you starting at 38 weeks. I typically meet you at your birthing location to provide continuous care until the birth of your baby and up to 3 hours postpartum.
Postpartum Visits
I will provide in-person or virtual visits to ensure you and baby are adjusting well. We will discuss your physical recovery and emotional health. I will also provide basic breast/chest feeding support and connect you to any local resources that may be needed.
